Description:

Position requires a hands-on, technically strong factory person who can take ownership of the filling and packaging operation. This is not a corporate/desk-based management role – the person must be comfortable spending time on the factory floor, hands-on and troubleshoooting problems, when required. Ultimately, someone who can take ownership of people, machines, output, quality, downtime and efficiency

Responsibilities:

1.1.   achieving daily production targets

1.2.   ensuring quality of products

1.3.   ensuring effective maintenance of machines/instruments

1.4.   production reports

1.5.   managing raw materials for production

1.6.   food safety management system and health and safety

Qualifications and Experience:

A tertiary and technical qualification

5 years production experience

Technical and production planning knowledge

High volume liquid filling lines

Understanding of fillers, cappers, labellers, conveyors and packaging machinery

Managing production teams

Knowledge of food safety systems and health and safety

Edible oil experience would be ideal, but we would also consider strong candidates from beverages, sauces, dairy, detergents or similar liquid-filling environments.
