| Job Description |
- Purchases goods, machinery, equipment, raw materials, and parts for internal consumption
- Handling of all purchasing functions and responsibilities
- Adhere to project requirements, identify cost savings and expedite deliveries
- Work cross-functionally within a matrix organisational team structure and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels
- Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers, ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives
- Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building and maintaining good relationships with them
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided
- Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
- Assessment on all the suppliers and feedback to management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Have a good understanding of accruals and cut off dates
- Various other ad hoc projects that may be required from time to time
