The purpose of this position is to determine, formulate, review and ensure implementation of the general policy and overall strategic and operational direction of the organisation within the framework established by the board of directors in order to grow market share and profitability

• Key Responsibility Areas
• Core Functions:

• Together with the CFO, formulate and ensure the understanding and alignment of the entire organisation to the company’s Vision, Mission and value statement.

• Provide leadership and direction to the entire organization and ensure organization complies with statutory requirements and governance frameworks.

• Ensure the development and implementation of Financial, Marketing, Sales, Operations and HR policy, objectives and strategies.

• Set and achieve company growth objectives and strategies.

• Develop and manage capital expenditure and operational expenditure budgets to support growth strategies.

• Ensure the provision of financial, material, technological and human resources to support operational strategies.

• Ensure adequate stakeholder management across all channels.

• Build the brand.

• Ensure the availability, use and development of internal and external technological solutions.

• Deliver monthly reports to CFO.

• Attend strategic and operational meetings.

• Formulate policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and ensure implementation thereof.

• Ensure accurate reporting of company information to relevant stakeholders.

• Ensure risks are identified and policies are developed and implemented to mitigate potential risk.

• Ensure identified risks are reported to relevant stakeholders and eliminated.

• Ensure competent Human Resources are employed across all positions.

• Ensure employees are aware of their job requirements.

• Conduct performance appraisals on executive management team.

• Ensure the identification of staff training needs.

• Ensure staff have personal development plans in place.

• Ensure staff adhere to company policy.

• Retain key staff members and implement succession planning initiatives.

• Ensure the formulation of B-BBEE objectives, strategies and structures.

• Ensure implementation of B-BBEE policies and strategies.
